Pooler - Debra Jackson Ellis, 51, died April 23, 2009 at Memorial University Medical Center. She was born in Madison, Wisconsin and lived in Savannah and the Pooler area for thirty two years. Debra worked in the shipping industry for many years, most recently with United Arab Shipping Company. She was a member of Richmond Hill United Methodist Church. Her parents, Elmer and Katherine Jackson and brother, Lonnie Jackson, preceded her in death.
Surviving are her husband of thirty two years, George F. Ellis of Pooler; daughters, Rachael K. Ellis and Whitney R. Ellis both of Pooler; son, Kyle J. Ellis of Pooler; brothers and sisters, Lee, Patrick, Richard, Gary, David, Rosetta, Sharon and Cindy.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
